We are looking for a Junior Payroll Specialist to join our HR & Payroll Services team in our Amsterdam office. The HR & Payroll Services team manages the payroll of our international clients. You will become an expert in processing 30% rulings, international split payrolls and manage multi-jurisdictional payrolls. You will work in a dynamic environment and be part of a fast-growing team consisting of 3 colleagues. It concerns a position for 32 hours a week.
As Junior Payroll Specialist, your main responsibility is to process payroll of our International clients together with the Senior Payroll Manager and to manage and maintain relationships with clients, the finance teams and third parties (e.g. tax office, tax advisor) to ensure accurate, compliant and timely processing of the monthly payroll.
Plan, process, review and file salary information received from our clients;
Ensure timely and accurately processing of monthly payroll of our clients;
Responsible for the day-to-day activities for the client payrolls by responding to client and employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters;
Onboard new clients and employees and set-up the payrolls;
Support and ensure compliance with relevant Dutch legislation;
Participate in projects to continuously review and improve processes related to payroll;
Keep up-to-date and gather information on any changes and development in tax legislation, social securities or any other changes that may influence the payroll process;
Support on year-end activities.
You have a degree in Finance/Accounting, supplemented with PDL or VPS education;
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience with Dutch payroll;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills of both the Dutch and English language;
Sound knowledge of Dutch tax, social and labor laws and regulations;
Accurate, analytical and well organized and able to deal with deadlines;
Flexible, willing to roll up your sleeves, operational / executive;
Experience with Nmbrs is desired;
Sound knowledge of Excel.
