Junior Compliance Officer

We are looking for a Junior Compliance Officer to join the Risk & Compliance team within Risk & Compliance Netherlands.

The position

In this role you will analyze and assist the Risk & Compliance team with advice and guidance to the Intertrust Netherlands service lines, including in particular, the compliance review of new business and risk re-assessment, and assume responsibility for the performance of 2nd Line of Defence monitoring activities.

Your responsibilities

  • Assist with delivering on the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme;

  • Grow into an expert into the allocated field of responsibility,

  • Grow into delivering independent and fact-based advice to client teams;

  • Promote common compliance standards across Intertrust Netherlands and service lines;

  • Raise awareness for Compliance risks and the 3 Lines of Defence roles & responsibilities;

Your profile

  • A completed education in Dutch law (preferably tax law, corporate law, notarial law, private law) or other education which provides a sound basis for a Junior Compliance Officer role;

  • You are interested to gain in-depth knowledge, in laws, regulations and procedures, in particular Wtt 2018, Wwft 2018 and Sanction regulations;

  • Communication skills (written and spoken) in Dutch and English;

  • At least 2 years of experience either in a 2nd line role within the Compliance department or a 1st line CDD department of a regulated financial institution.
