ITG Group- Second Innings is an initiative aimed at encouraging women on a professional break to resume their corporate career. Azure Cloud Operations Engineer (Storage & Backup)

Location: Bangalore

Shift: EMEA shift 12pm – 9pm

The position

As a CloudOps Engineer you will work in a vibrant and international environment in which you have the opportunity to work with various technologies and diverse cultures. You will closely collaborate with other IT experts on our global digital transformation.

Focusing on Azure, you will not only be responsible for the security, but also in building the orchestration layer of Azure. Besides being an individual contributor role, you will collaborate with our internal stakeholders across the businesses & technology teams and advise where necessary.

The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate a passion for the technology and tools involved. Someone curious and keen to learn about innovative technologies and suggest how we can improve the service the team provides to our clients as well as to our internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience as system administrator.
  • Knowledge in Azure Cloud platform with hands on experience in On- Prem Windows /Linux Operating systems.
  • Experience in ticketing tools and handle incidents, service, change request and other P1 tasks.
  • Experience in File servers/AD/Distributed File System/Group Policy Object, managing security group permissions.
  • Managing production support issues and see through the resolution. (L2 level)
  • Experience with Windows Domain Controller & any virtualization (VMware, Citrix VDI).
  • Experience in installing or upgrading windows servers and various applications.
  • Troubleshooting system error logs and user reported errors.
  • Experience of server builds/ day to day service request.
  • Install and configured various business products on Windows Operating system.
  • Knowledge of replication and backup technologies (Commvault, Azure Site recovery).
  • Collaborate with Cloud team and troubleshoot basic access issue and VM deployments in Azure.
  • PowerShell scripting (Preferable)
  • Knowledge in Azure Cloud and other cloud computing technologies.  
  • Knowledge in SCOM/SCCM
  • Knowledge in Cloud automation using Azure DevOps, ARM templates or Azure Pipelines.

Your profile

  • Good technical skills in Windows servers (2008/2012/2016/2019).
  • Good technical skills in AD Replication, AD troubleshooting, DFS configuration, DNS/DHCP.
  • WDS server and troubleshooting, networking, storage backup – (Preferable for storage)
  • Fixing skills, problem solving and resolution (root cause identification).
  • L2 experience in deployment, cloud infrastructure, server management, Migration tasks.
  • Basic experience in VMware troubleshooting.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration (PowerShell scripting, etc.).
  • Excellent Communication Skill is Mandatory.
