Senior Financial Account Controller / Cluster Supervisor

As a Senior Financial Account Controller in our Corporate Services Finance team, you play an important role in the success of our business. You will be a part of our biggest business unit, and the local expert in accounting and financial reporting for international clients establishing their business in Denmark, who are spread across different branches and cultures. Your responsibilities will therefore be very diverse, and you will get international exposure through your client base.

Besides being an important hands-on support function for your clients, you will also act as the go-to person for your colleagues in their daily work, as Cluster Supervisor, as you will be involved in the more complex financial and accounting matters for the cluster’s client portfolio. The role combines individual ownership with shared team responsibility in a fast-paced and ambitious work environment.

Your main responsibilities

  • Perform and manage the high-level delivery of accounting, financials, and corporate administrative services to our clients
  • Supporting and mentoring your colleagues and being highly involved in quality assurance for- and within your cluster
  • Ensure top quality client- and cluster resource project planning, balance our client’s high demands in a fast-paced consultant environment with our employee’s well-being
  • Developing balance sheets, profit-and-loss accounts, audit packages, VAT & CIT returns, annual reports and tax statements
  • Analyzing financial and fiscal data to create both internal and external financial reports and statements
  • Working closely with Business Unit Managers, Legal Associates as well as with external accountants, auditors, lawyers, and tax advisors
  • Act as a project leader in various internal and external projects
  • Be involved in the development of the cluster, and business unit in general, as well as contribute to agreed operational and commercial goals

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you have a broad background within accounting, corporate finance & administration, controlling or audit, and you enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. You like to be challenged, but also to challenge others. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and thrive in a dynamic workplace where your days and tasks vary a lot, and you appreciate the small recurring tasks. Due to the changing environment, it is also important that you are organized and a skilled project planner, as well as have the ability to take a helicopter perspective and prioritize when needed. Further, we see that you have:

  • A Bachelor (e.g. HD(R) & HA) or Masters in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics (e.g. CMA) or equivalent
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in financial services, international accounting, tax or trust environment in Denmark
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
