Azure Cloud Operations Engineer (Storage & Backup)

The position

As a CloudOps Engineer you will work in a vibrant and international environment in which you can work with various technologies and diverse cultures. You will closely collaborate with other IT experts on our global digital transformation.

Focusing on Azure, you will not only be responsible for the security, but also in building the orchestration layer of Azure, besides being an individual contributor role, you will collaborate with our internal stakeholders across the businesses & technology teams and advise where necessary.

The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate a passion for the technology and tools involved. Someone curious and keen to learn about innovative technologies and suggest how we can improve the service the team provides to our clients as well as to our internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

• Knowledge in Azure Cloud platform with hands on experience in On- Prem Windows /Linux Operating systems.
• Review the Storage &  Data Protection designs and make recommendations for upgrades, designs and implementations.
• Troubleshoot backup system issues on backup servers, client servers and tape systems. Includes Unix, Linux and Windows Operating Systems and the interactions with the backup systems.
• Maintain data protection design and implementation documentation.
• Implementing and managing Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and other disaster recovery solutions.
• Implement organisational objectives for backup and restore improvement and compliance with industry standards.
• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Ensure the IT Support products and services provided to Programs are of the highest quality and satisfy all regulatory and technical requirements.
• Ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and security requirements.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as virtualization, networking, and security.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Azure services.
• Operate Backup Systems including Commvault and Azure Backups.
• Hands on experience on different types of jobs on Commvault backup.
• Working on all types of backups like incremental, full, forward incremental, forever forward incremental, reverse incremental backups.

Your profile

• At least 3-7 years’ experience as system administrator.
• Good technical skills in Windows servers (2008/2012/2016/2019).
• Good technical skills in Commvault and azure backup solutions.
• WDS server and troubleshooting, networking, storage backup – (Preferable for storage)
• Fixing skills, problem solving and resolution (root cause identification).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration (PowerShell scripting, etc.).
• Excellent Communication Skill is Mandatory.
