Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

Opportunity to join a successful, driven and fast paced finance team of 7 based in the City of London. The FP&A Analyst will support the organisation in achieving its objectives by making well-informed decisions based off timely and accurate financial data and reporting. The key day-to-day activities include preparation of financial performance analysis and reports for Heads of Business Units, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, sales monitoring and ad-hoc data analysis tasks as requested.
Responsibilities
- Owning the budgeting and forecasting processes end to end including partnering with the business unit management teams and financial control team to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Financial modelling and analysis with continuous support to business unit management teams, Financial Controller and Head of Finance to aid valuable decision making
- Continuous improvement of current reporting and modelling processes
- Monthly forensic analysis on P&L movements
- Own the UK finance inputs and actions for global sales monitoring and reporting
- Weekly and monthly KPI reporting
- Support the Financial Controller on month/quarter and year end results submissions, where required
- Build positive relationships across the organisation
- Develop and improve monthly analysis of results for service line management to maximise revenue and margin decision making
- Act in an advisory capacity on strategic financing activities for the Group
- Other Finance projects and duties as appropriate
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- 3 years minimum experience working in a similar role
- Must have budgeting and forecasting experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume, high growth, multi-entity organisation
- Accountancy qualification, or working towards (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Proficient with Office 365 applications including excel
- Structured & organised approach to work
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data patterns
- SAP (S4Hana) experience preferable but not essential
- PowerBI experience preferable but not essential
