Senior Accounting Services Officer - Shared Client Services

The position
Shared Client Services (SCS) delivers several important client statutory and regulatory services for Intertrust clients across the Corporate Legal Solutions (CLS) service lines of Private Client, Corporate Services and Executive Compensation Services.
The position available is for a Senior Accounting Services Officer to join the SCS team in Jersey to undertake accounts preparation and review accounts prepared and bookkeeping completed by colleagues in our India based office and perform other similar level work for the above service lines.
The service line client base consists of companies, trusts, pension plans, employee benefit trust and partnerships. The team consists of several experienced and qualified accountants.
Your responsibilities
• Preparation of annual accounts in accordance with recognised GAAPs and review of same prepared by colleagues from the wider team
• Preparation of workpapers and checklists that support the accounts to include relevant source documentation
• Supporting the bookkeeping function in conjunction with the accounting requirements of the administration team
• Maintenance of team specific accounts preparation and status monitoring spreadsheets for both internally and externally prepared accounts to ensure deadlines are met and for monitoring other deliverables
• Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management, in house companies and compliance, when required
• Accurately record all time spent dealing with client matters to ensure the clients are correctly invoiced
• Maintain client documents with integrity
• Communicate openly and honestly with fee earners and team members to maintain collaborative working relationships
Your profile
• Knowledge or previous experience in the Private Wealth, Corporate Services and Executive Compensation Services accounting sectors desirable
• ACA/ACCA or similar qualification is desirable
• Strong technical knowledge including up to date IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge and experience
• Be able to deal with tasks independently & use own initiative
• Must be committed and driven to achieving excellence for themselves and their client
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
